Our purpose
StudyBuddys is being created to help adults find compatible nearby or online people for subjects, courses, research interests, projects and academic collaboration. Members may participate as learners, tutors or academics—or in more than one role.
How we are different
The service is designed around useful compatibility rather than public popularity. Profiles are intended to be visible only to compatible signed-in members. Ordinary messaging requires mutual acceptance, and premium access will never bypass consent, blocking or safety controls.
Safety and privacy by design
- The initial audience is adults aged 18 and over.
- Approximate proximity may support discovery; exact meeting locations remain private until acceptance.
- Live location is intended to be optional, time-limited and revocable.
- Blocking, reporting, moderation evidence and account deletion are foundational requirements.
- StudyBuddys and ActivBuds maintain separate account audiences and product data boundaries.

StudyBuddys and ActivBuds share carefully designed technology for profiles, matching, consent, planning, notifications and safety. Each remains a separate product with its own branding, terminology, policies and community.
